El Nido is all about good times and tane lines. Out here life is like a never ending beach story. The might not be all as fairylike as the onces you head to while island hopping but most on them are still worth a visit. Marimegmeg Beach, better know as Las Cabanas, is just hidden some 3km from El Nido town and can’t be missed out on your beach life. It is a good place to relax in the golden sand that glistens in the sun while admiring the silhouettes of the rock formations and islands nearby that are towering  over the waters.

– How to go to Las Cabanas –

In 10 to 15 minutes you can get to Las Cabanas beach by tricycle. This short trip costs around 150PHP for two persons. If you want to go for a hike just  head  out of El Nido town and follow the coastline. The beach is easy to find. If you see a bunch of tricycle parked you know that you have arrived.

– Island to Island Zipline –

If you are still not done with  island hopping after the tours in El Nido you came out to the right place. From here you can hop to Depeldet Island by a 750-meter zip line. It is just short drive on some adventures paths towards to this unique zip-line. To get there you can take a tricycle from Las Cabanas beach or straight from El Nido town.

It is not possible to get all the way to the start of the zip-line so the last part you got to hike up. No worries, it is just a small hike and you can rest while flying above the sea in between two islands.
Flights can be taken in between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm.

The price depends on whether you want to go on a way or a return flight and the position you want to take in.

One-way flight
Sitting position – 500PHP

Superman position – 700PHP

Return flight
Sitting position – 900PHP

Superman position – 1100PHP
Combination positions – 1000PHP

As you know by now there option to take the zip-line back to the starting point. It is better though to go on a way flight and take the short hike back to Las Cabanas Beach. Along the way you will cross a sandbank that connects the two islands. It amazing to walk here and see the zip-line above you.

– Sunset –

If you  get out late for  zip-lining, make sure to get back on time for sunset. Still full of adrenaline you can drop down in front of a beach bar, grap a drink and watch the sun goes down.  Las Cabanas beach is facing west so what you will witness is definitely worth staying for.
